Yoga in a time of COVID-19
PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH BEFORE COMING TO CLASS. MAHALO!
Health
* First and foremost, if you feel unwell, PLEASE stay home. Rest and fully recover before returning to community class.
Visitors
* If you’ve just arrived from other places, please take time to enjoy the outdoors or stay home for a week before you come to the studio. We have a large community of elders & those on the healing path.
Mats & Props
* Bring your own mat! And if you don’t have, buy one for 15% off.
* Mat rental and prop use will be phased out. If you must use a studio mat, please bring a towel to use on studio mats and look into getting your own props.
Adjustments
* Teachers are no longer providing hands on adjustments.
Greetings
& Touch
* We are adopting the shaka or namaste as greeting and farewell and respectfully ask you to do the same. This is a challenging one in our community that so freely offers hugs and kisses. This aloha is beautiful in times of health and incredibly high risk in pandemic situations. Let’s all love each other by maintaining respectful space. Many who become infected will be non-symptomatic and we have a responsibility to the elders & immune sensitive in our community to take this act of distancing to heart.
Scheduling & Classes
* Any and all schedule updates will be posted on the website.
* We are working on offering live streaming classes and/or pre-recorded class sequences to share online soon as well.
Amenities
* Tea will no longer be provided.
* Consider bringing your own hand towels, props, etc. to support efforts of cleanliness, non-contamination, and overall hygiene for everyone.
Studio Cleanliness
* All teachers are in the habit of wiping handles, pens, ipad and commonly touched places before and after class.
* We have always cleaned studio after each use and those cleaning practices will be more rigorous with daily sanitizing practices.
